Welcome to Salford Children's Rights Service
We work with children and young people from Salford, who are in Care or Leaving Care. Salford Children's Rights Service is funded by Salford Children's Services. The service was set up in 1995 and has grown substantially in recent years. We are part of The Children's Society a registered national charity.

What We Do....
What do we do at Salford Children's Rights Service?
- We provide an Independent Visiting scheme.
- We provide an independent Advocacy service.
- We provide opportunities for children and young people to have their say and make a difference to the services they receive.
Advocacy Service
Advocates do one to one work with young people and can be a source of advice, support, raise awareness about their rights and be a listening ear.
Volunteering
We are always looking for volunteers to give up some of their spare time to support children and young people, click here to find out more.
Our service largely depends upon volunteers. We train and support volunteers to become Independent Visitors (IVs).
IVs befriend children and young people and build up a long term relationship with an individual.
Some of our volunteers have been with us for a number of years and have gained recognition and awards for the role. Click the link below to read about a recent award:
