"Becoming a volunteer is one of the most valuable things I have done in my life".

Independent Visitor
Children and young people in Care can feel isolated and need support. An Independent Visitor is an adult befriender, there to offer guidance, support, a listening ear and to have fun with.
Think of the confidence you could give to a young person when they know you freely give up your spare time just for them. To be someone to chat to, trust, offer guidance and have a belief in them. Are you that person? See More on Being an IV for further information.

One of our Independent Visitors, just hanging around in his spare time - Activity Day August 2007
Through volunteering you will be offered training, support and guidance from us. This can open new opportunities for employment, you will meet other volunteers, have new experiences and acquire new skills.
A new challenge - are you up for it?
