To become an Independent Visitor you have to successfully complete our training programme. This takes place in the evenings and at weekends. There are eight sessions to complete and an assessment panel at the end of the programme.
In addition to this we run volunteers evenings, six times a year, with guest speakers and trainers.
We are always at the end of the telephone and you can drop in at anytime. Or you can email us and we will get back to you.
We provide at least two face to face opportunities a year for you to meet with our IV Co ordinator, to discuss matters in general, we call these "Supervisions".
We will let you know about any additional training you can go on through our networks.
We provide group activities with other volunteers (IVs) and young people in the summer holidays and at christmas.
